ERSA-IS: ERSA Industrial Session
Premier International Gathering for
Commercial & Academic
Reconfigurable
Computing Application Developers
ERSA Industrial Session
Introduction
ERSA Industrial Session aims to create a forum for researchers, developers, and entrepreneurs working on reconfigurable hardware and supporting software area.
The topics of ERSA-IS are not limited to classical programmable logic and FPGAs. ERSA-IS topics cover broad area, from simple applications on programmable logic to complex, intelligent, high-performance, embedded systems implemented as multicore systems and heterogeneous parallel processing systems. All these complex systems involve reconfigurability on software and/or hardware level.
ERSA, it is:
“Engineering of Reconfigurable Systems and Algorithms”.
The topic for ERSA-IS’2012:
“Reconfigurable Computing Application Development for Heterogeneous Run-time Environments”
Focus on challenges, tools, available technologies and opportunities when it comes to developing and supporting applications, both academic and commercial, that involve reconfigurable computing technologies across mobile, embedded, and HPC domains.
Developers Session consist of
- Presentations on techniques, tools and resources that are available for commercial use
- Posters that *can* be promotionally oriented
- Discussion sessions on challenges facing RC developers (technical challenges; business challenges)
- Product demonstrations, exhibitions and overviews
Potential general sections:
- Tools and techniques
- Opportunities in emerging markets
- Commercialization strategies
- Standards, validation and testing
- Public and commercial partnerships
Potential application oriented sections:
- Reconfigurable computing in finance sector
- Building reconfigurable IP cores and libraries
- Hardware security and threats in reconfigurable systems
- Reconfigurable supercomputing
- Reconfigurable Intelligent embedded systems
- ...
